Safety Policy - Safe Sanctuaries

*All Destin School of the Arts staff have undergone and successfully completed the Ministry Safe's 2023 Ministry Safe Child Sexual Abuse Awareness Training.

IN ADHERENCE TO DESTIN METHODIST CHURCH’S SAFE SANCTUARIES POLICY, DSOTA REQUIRES: 

All instructors who work directly with our students who are of youth age or are vulnerable adults to complete a 50 state, fingerprinted background check every two years. 

2 ADULTS, including a parent (or guardian) and/or authority figure, to be present when working with youth or vulnerable adults. 

All instructors and volunteers must sign the Safe Sanctuaries Participation Covenant. 

Unobstructed windows in all doors of lesson rooms and offices. 

Video surveillance in individual classrooms and entrances to school.
